Before Photos
Riverwoods, IL walk in shower remodel, completed in 2019. The clients wanted to remove the soaker tub from their basement bathroom. The tub was too difficult to get into, and too much of a hassle to clean. The before photos show we are working with a drop in tub, with the tile coming up the sides in a very small space. They also wanted to install heated flooring, as this was a basement bathroom that got pretty cold in the winter.
In Progress Photos
These photos were taken after demo day. We installed new plumbing and valves and added new insulation. At this point we took care to install the heated floor and lay the tiles perfectly. You’ll see that we also made space for the niche and the shower bench to be installed. The dark grey tile was a, excellent choice for this remodel, as it offers some contrast to the white tiles in the shower.
After Photos
The finished shower is amazing! The shower is now easy to get in and easy to clean. We love the mosaic tile strip along the shower valve. The new vanity is super modern, along with the new mirror and lighting. We made sure to install a new fan for the humidity as this room as no windows for ventilation. Overall, we are really pleased with the final look of this bathroom.
